Meet the Trainer

Meet the trainer

My name is Bridgett and I am an ABC certified dog trainer in southern California.  I've always had a love for animals since I was a child and have had a family dog throughout most of my life along with other types of pets.  I got my feet wet with animal training as a child, teaching my pet bird to ride my remote control car, sing songs and training my rat to run through an obstacle course for cheese.  I began training dogs after starting my own family and we got our first dog, General, a black and white German boxer.  He was such a good boy!

I enjoyed training General so much that I have made dog training my profession. I offer positive reinforcement training and help in rehabilitating foster dogs, getting them ready for their forever homes.  Like people, no two dogs are alike which makes my work exciting and new with each dog/owner team that I train.

If you'd like to know more about my methods of training or would like to request an in-person consultation, please contact me! I look forward to meeting you and your dog soon!

Dog Training

Whether you want to start your new puppy off on the right paw or you are looking to correct undesired behaviors in your beloved furry best friend; private sessions provide undivided, hands-on, one-on-one training for you and your dog's specific needs and are tailored to your lifestyle and daily schedule.

Doggie Daycare

Doggie daycare provides socialization for dogs during the day and allows your dog to learn and maintain dog social cues when in a group setting. Daycare is in a small group setting and includes indoor and enclosed outdoor areas for exercise, play, training and special daycare events.

A dog needs mental stimulation, exercise and definitely needs to poop during the day!  If your pup spends a significant amount of time alone he could develop undesirable behaviors while you're away at work.  A walk can give your dog the stimulation he needs and you peace of mind knowing he's in good hands.

Pet Taxi

Sometimes there just isn't enough time to get Fido to where he needs to be!  With Pet Taxi services, your dog will be picked up or dropped off from point A to point B so that you don't have to stress about your dog missing that much-needed grooming appointment!  Contact me for more details about Pet Taxi services!

Puppy Playdates

Socialization for young puppies with other pups is crucial to their development. Puppy Playdates are held in a relaxed, safe, supervised environment with other puppies and their owners.  While the puppies play, owners learn how to distinguish proper play, stress signals and other body language of their pups.

Doggie Sleepover

Doggie Sleepover provides 24hr care for your pup when you have to be away for an extended period of time. Providing a home environment, walks, play and rest for your pup just like at home.  This service is suited well for pups that do not like the large doggie daycare facilities due to fear, anxiety or just preference!

Private Training

Private training typically takes place in the client's home.  As training progresses, sessions may take place at a local park or other public space depending on the owner/dog team needs.

Private sessions are longer than a group session and provides undivided attention for training, help with technique and questions.

Private training is also great on an as-needed basis after basic obedience training has already been completed.  Whether you want to teach your dog a new trick or maybe the potty training has regressed a bit, with a private session the trainer comes to you, where the problem is occurring to assess the environment and teach you the tools to help you train your dog.

Group Training

Group training takes place in a public space with other owner/dog teams, typically in a local park, beach or other public space depending on the topic.  Each owner must sign-up and pay in advance for the group training session and complete all liability waivers, submit proof of vaccination and rabies shots and the required gear must be purchased in advance before attending your first session.

Group training sessions are shorter and cover a training topic.  Each group training session has a segment of instruction, demonstration of techniques, practice time, and question and answer.

Group training sessions are NOT suitable for reactive, fearful, or aggressive dogs. Please consider Private Training if your dog exhibits these types of behavior.
